Guineawick Tales

The Guineawick Tales are a collection of short fantasy stories revolving around the rodent residents of the Guineawick. Follow the lives of Hester, Aman and their friends and family, in the walled town set firmly between the tall Podge mountain and the wide Hodge river.

The Stories

• Pawsgaard
  An introduction to the residents of Guineawick, when a wounded rabbit warrior is found outside of town.
• Hester and the Kookaburra King
  When a plague befalls Guineawick, Hester must set off from home on an adventure to find the cure.
• Aman
  A short adventure of the Guardmouse Aman, set during the events of Hester and the Kookaburra King.

About

The series is my attempt at children’s literature for adults: giving something for all ages to enjoy. The first short story, Pawsgaard, was originally written in 2009 as a submission to a writing group. There’s probably one draft left before I’m ready to publish.

The second, Hester and the Kookaburra King,  is the first novel set in the Guineawick Tales universe, written for NaNoWriMo 2010 and has seen one revision. There are probably a few more drafts before I’m ready to publish.

The third, Aman, is planned for NaNoWriMo 2011.
